Jet Airways in India
Jet Airways, which started as an air taxi operator in 1993, is one of the main private Indian airlines which run international flights. Based in Mumbai, it runs over 300 flights to 68 destinations worldwide daily from its main hub, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, and subsidiary hubs at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kempegowda International Airport and Chennai International Airport. With 18.2% market share, it was India’s second-largest airline in July 2017.
Jet Airways non-stop flights have connected 219 destinations across the United States, Canada and Mexico and 92 destinations across Europe with their codeshare (aviation business arrangement where two or more airlines share the same flight) partners Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic. Jet Airways has won the ‘India's Best Airline Award’ in April 2017.

Contemplating immense possibilities for tourism and corporate travel, Jet Airways have announced that they will be starting non-stop flights from Chennai to Paris and from Bengaluru to Amsterdam, starting from October 29, 2017. These flights are said to complement the existing direct flights from Delhi & Mumbai to Amsterdam and from Mumbai to Paris. These two new services along with the existing services which have been revamped were created to cater to the traveler's demands. Another non-stop flight which has been in service is the flight from Mumbai to London.
Jayaraj Shanmugam, Jet Airways chief commercial officer said, "Jet Airways' network will see new introductions in Europe and the Gulf that will strengthen our commitment to provide our guests with a wider choice, convenience and connectivity over our hubs in Mumbai and Delhi and onwards onto our international network, with our codeshare partners. Our new non-stop services will also help us cater to the growing international traffic from/to Bengaluru and Chennai."
This new venture has made Jet Airways the only airline in India to proffer non-stop flights to these cities.

Chennai to Paris
This seamless Airbus A330 flight service is between Chennai International Airport (MAA) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). This flight will begin its operation from 29 October 2017 and will operate five days a week.
Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India said, “I am delighted at the prospect of the upcoming launch of the non-stop Chennai to Paris Jet Airways flight. This new route will greatly enhance air connectivity between France and India." This direct service is predicted to make the path smoother for corporate travel from Indian and French industries.
France has the best geographical location for moving to various other European destinations and it has been proved by the 5.52 lakh tourists who visited France in 2016.
Jet Airways 9W 128 will depart Chennai at 0145 (local time) and arrive in Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 0810 (local time) with a total duration of the flight, 9 hours and 35 minutes. Jet Airways 9W 127 will depart Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 2210 (local time) and arrive in Chennai at 0015 (local time).
Bengaluru to Amsterdam
The growing request of people to provide non-stop connectivity from Bengaluru to Europe urged the officials to initiate this service. This service from Bengaluru is the only flight to any European countries from Bengaluru. Jet Airways already has two flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Amsterdam.
The Airbus A330 aircraft Jet Airways operate in codeshare with KLM, Air France, and Delta Air Lines to provide passengers flying to Amsterdam with a carefree experience.
The ambassador of the Netherlands to India, Alphonsus H M Stoelinga said that his country is an adept investment and tourist and higher education destination and the emerging Indian economy justified increasing its business relationship with India.
Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer of Jet Airways said, “This service not only strengthens Jet Airways' footprint in the city but is also another step forward in the realization of our core purpose of connecting more of India to the world”.
Jet Airways flight 9W236 from Bengaluru to Amsterdam will depart from Kempegowda International Airport at 0230 hours (local time) in the morning and arrives at 0845 hours (local time), with the total duration of flight 10 hours and 45 minutes. Jet Airways flight 9W235 from Amsterdam to Bengaluru will depart from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 1050hours (local time) and will arrive at 0040 hours (local time) the next day.
