Donald Trump’s Rise To Presidency
Donald Trump became quite famous but a bit in the wrong way, as during his campaign for the presidency as many people thought that his presidency would be based on racial discrimination and whatnot, as such happenings did occur during his campaigning time and were all over the net. Moreover, apart from that, he did seek a lot of attention on the positive side too as tons of people were in his favor and thought that he was the glow of light in their darkness. In a way he did stand out from the earlier presidents that America had seen, he did take a few decisions which were not witnessed for a long time in America. He did make a few decisions which made some people doubt his presidency which include :
- Firing the director of the FBI for failing to demonstrate personal loyalty to him.
- Encouraging America’s intelligence chiefs to undermine the FBI’s Russia probe.
- Accusing first Muslim mayor of London for being indifferent to terrorism, a few hours after a terrorist attack in London.
- Sharing highly classified Israeli intelligence with a core ally of Israel’s top geopolitical foe. Then, accidentally publicly confirming that he had done so.
- Releasing a budget with a $2 trillion math error.
But it is true that Trump is not responsible for every bad thing that happens and neither responsible for every good thing that happens in our economy. But it’s hard to miss the fact that the American economy seems to be taking off in response to his election. Consumer confidence is at the highest level in 17 years. It was seen that over half a million jobs have been created in his first 3 months in office. Furthermore, his decision to attack a Syrian Air Base after a chemical weapon attack and doing a bomb attack on ISIS sent out a strong message and was one strong move made by him.
Standing for what’s right
Apart from all these, he is probably the only president who has taken a stand against the North Korean super-power Kim Jong-un who is one of the most anti-peaceful person the country has ever witnessed. Even though he constantly threatens America and various other countries to live up to his requirements or the end of the discussion would be a Nuclear warhead over the other country and yet Donald Trump took a stand against the threat to defend his country and the people of his country and delivered a strong message to North Korea that America is not afraid of a war as North Korea would be the one suffering the most. Apart from that, our Prime Minister Modi was also seen to be of good words about Donal Trump after his visit to America to discuss some treaties and developed a good relation and bond with him as the time passed by,
Hence it would be quiet wrong to say that he did not live out to the expectations as there are always good and bad points of a person.
